Being without electricity can be more than a nuisance, it can jeopardise safety, the preservation of food, the operation of hospitals or paralyse a company. Generators supply power autonomously, allowing comfort and functionality to be maintained, even in emergencies or in remote locations without access to the mains.
The power of generators is associated with their ability to generate energy. Choosing a generator therefore depends on the size of the space in which it will be used and the type of equipment that will need to be supplied with energy.
VITO’s generators are designed to offer performance, durability, and ease of use, meeting a wide range of needs, from domestic use to more professional requirements.
The choice of generator depends on two main factors:
- Type of application: residential, commercial, industrial or leisure.
- Amount of energy needed: measured in kVA or kW.
1. Identify all the equipment you want to have supplied with electricity;
2. Add up the power in watts (W).
3. Multiply that by 1.25 (safety margin).
4. Convert to kVA by dividing by 0.8 (average power factor).
A simple example:
- Fridge (300W), TV (200W), lights (200W), computer (250W).
- Total: 950W x 1.25 = 1,187.5W ≈ 1.5 kVA.
- A 2 kVA generator is sufficient.
This type of generator stands out for emitting significantly less noise. Due to their small size, Inverters offer lightness, mobility, and practicality, making them easy to move around.
VIGI1250 (1250W): compact, ideal for camping sites or charging small electronics.
VIGI2000 / VIGI3000 / VIGI4000: quiet, stable, ideal for computers, household appliances and portable uses.
These generators are suitable for powering ordinary machines that do not require a lot of consumption, such as angle grinders, circular saws, and screwdrivers.
VIG28 (2,8kVA) and VIG55 (5,5kVA): for homes, small construction sites and small businesses.
These models stand out for their versatility and ability to power both single-phase and three-phase machines, adapting the energy they generate to the equipment they support.
VIG65TDP / VIG80TDP: power single-phase and three-phase equipment. For small businesses, workshops, and intensive use.
VIG8TRL (8kVA): three-phase with wheels and handle – ideal for construction sites or demanding transport situations.
Range of stationary diesel generators that stand out for their reliability and speed of response.
They can be used as a main power source or as an emergency power source with automatic start-up. These generators can communicate with the grid and/or with other generators and can work in parallel if necessary. They come equipped with a digital controller, an integrated chassis, and a plastic fuel tank, and they are also prepared to withstand the most adverse conditions, such as dust, sand, temperature variations and heavy rain.
Recommended for contexts where electrical failure can have a critical impact (industries, residential complexes, hospitals, large construction sites):
VIGD8ST / VIGD10STA / VIGD15STA / VIGD20STA
VIGD30ST / VIGD40ST / VIGD50ST
All these models include:
- Electric start-up.
- Controller.
- Soundproofed canopy.
- ATS connection (automatic switch-on in the event of a power outage).
- Large capacity fuel tanks.
- For domestic or leisure use: inverter or single-phase models up to 3 kVA.
- For workshops, commerce, or agriculture: single-phase models between 3 and 6.5 kVA.
- For more demanding applications: three-phase or dual power with 6.5 kVA or more.
- For continuous or professional use (24h/7): super silent diesel generators with ATS.
